FaZe have secured a top two finish in ELEAGUE's Group D after defeating TSM twice (16-13 on Cobblestone and 16-12 on Train).
Day two of ELEAGUE began with a clash between FaZe, level on points with fnatic at the top of the group, and TSM, who were looking to bounce back from a 0-2 defeat against the Swedish side on the opening day.
The first map was Cobblestone, where FaZe had been defeated by fnatic 0-16. This time around, the European mixture gave a much better account of themselves, even though TSM came close to forcing overtime.
TSM came out the brighter in the match and won the pistol round as CT after successfully defending the B site. However, they were caught off-guard by FaZe's force buy and took some time to get their economy back on track.
FaZe pick up fifth map win in ELEAGUE
Down 1-3, TSM were able to get a gun round after stopping FaZe's A split, but the European team hit back in the next round once again. TSM's inability to string two rounds together continued until the end of the half as FaZe cruised to a comfortable 11-4 lead.
FaZe further extended their lead by taking the pistol round as CT thanks to a 1vs2 clutch from Ricardo "fox" Pacheco, but then they got a taste of their own medicine as TSM rallied back on a force buy.
That win sparked a massive run from the North American team as they won seven of the next eight rounds, forcing FaZe to call a tactical pause. The remaining rounds would be highly contested, with FaZe securing a win in the 29th round to end the threat of overtime.

Map two was Train, where TSM picked up the pistol round and the following anti-ecos to build a 3-0 lead. A 1vs2 clutch from Joakim "jkaem" Myrbostad in a close gun round put FaZe back in the game, with the European lineup then going on an incredible run that saw them take six of the following seven rounds.
TSM would be able to adjust their offense towards the end of the half to hit six rounds on the board and keep their hopes alive going into the second half.
Despite losing the pistol round of the second half, TSM refused to throw in the towel and strung five rounds together to take the lead in the game. That is when FaZe's offense flourished as the European team, powered by crucial entry frags from Håvard "rain" Nygaard, won six of the following seven rounds to lock down the map 16-12.
